An awareness session on cancer was run by Naifaru Juvenile under the SHE core plus initiative project in cooperation with the Society for Cancer on 10th December 2013 at Lh. Kurendhoo and 11th December 2013 at Lh. Naifaru targeting women of all ages. The session was conducted by two facilitators from the Cancer Society. On the 28th and 29th of November 2013, Naifaru Juvenile conducted two women’s capacity workshops under the True the Vote project on Naifaru and Olhuvelifushi, respectively. The workshops were conducted for representatives of all political parties with the purpose of empowering women to participate in elections on both island and atoll levels. The objective was to inform the participants of which steps can be taken to empower women in their participation
