Grand opening of the Community Youth Centre Complex
On Saturday 9th March, Naifaru Juvenile was proud to open our newly-completed Community Youth Centre Complex. Having worked consistently with the island’s youth, and always trying to give them opportunities for progress, we remarked that the island has very few facilities to engage them. The workshop was held on Tuesday 8th January 2013 at 9pm to 11.30pm in the Multi Purpose building (MPB). The facilitators were from Journey. This program was one of our drug awareness project funded by UNODC. The workshop on drug awareness for the parents was held to teach the parents, parental skills and awareness. 27 parents attended the meeting which was about making the parents aware of changes in children’s behavior at different times in life,

The training program was held on Tuesday 8th January 2013 from 3.45pm to 7.30pm. The training program was held in the Multi Purpose Building (MPB) for the staff that will be working in our soon to be opened ‘drop in centre’. 20 participants including staff attended .The training program was facilitated by Journey NGO.
