The people of Naifaru are always there in number to support our community-building events. It is not uncommon to see several hundred supporters at one time. Even when we do events on remote islands (ie. sports events) people are often happy to join despite having to pay for ferry tickets.
As one of our longest-lived focal points, we have a lot of experience in drug-awareness campaigning. Here, several of our volunteers are participating in a drug-awareness day where we took campaigning to the streets to ensure that everyone in the community was reached. As such we reach further than just school children and parents.
At Naifaru Juvenile we are constantly broadening our horizon to what is going on in the world around us. Through our international volunteer sub-branch, ‘Atoll Volunteers’, we constantly act as a bridge between international volunteers and local institutions in need. Here, two Swedish volunteers are photographed at Nooraanee Preschool in Naifaru.
