27 women finish an intermediate sewing course held in Naifaru by Naifaru Juvenile and TOPSY Training Centre, Male’. TOPSY sent an instructor to teach local women improved sewing skills. The course ran for one month and was attended by local women of 18 years and older.

Naifaru Juvenile has just finished an advanced cake decoration course for a group of local women. The course was conducted to increase the women’s skills in cake making and decoration to give them an incentive to start small-scale home-based businesses.

Naifaru Juvenile has hosted a volleyball coaching camp for the local youth. The camp was held on Naifaru Island with assistance from the Volleyball Association of Maldives. The VAM sent a representative from Male’ to assist in the coaching activities.

Naifaru Juvenile organize the island’s youth into assisting with the construction of our new sea wall for our Harbour. Our old sea wall, which was made out of corals, was falling apart and a new wall was desperately needed. There were already several adults signed up for participation. Juvenile’s responsibility was to mobilize the youths of our island. After a meeting with youth members of the community Juvenile managed to get several youths

A Velidhoo NGO sends an invitation to visit them on the 30th of August. 35 Naifaru Juvenile members participated in the trip. During the day there was a friendly volleyball match to build relations between the two NGOs. Velidhoo is located in the Noonu Atoll.
